Terms of use
By using the Bibliato platform, you accept these terms. Please read them carefully before registering or publishing content.
Last updated: 23 June 2026
1. About the platform
Bibliato is an online community for book lovers and students. The platform lets you manage your personal library, share ratings and reviews, publish requests, exchange messages, and post offers to sell, give away, or trade books. Bibliato is an intermediary connecting users — it does not directly participate in physical exchange, sale, or delivery of books.
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing the site, registering, or using any feature, you accept these Terms of use and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree with the terms, do not use the platform.
3. Account and user responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, account security, and all activity through your account. Do not share login credentials with others. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Content you publish — including book titles, descriptions, photos, ratings, reviews, messages, and listings — is solely your responsibility. By publishing, you confirm that you have the right to use and share that content.
4. Permitted use
Use Bibliato in accordance with the law and good practice. You may:
- manage your personal library and share honest ratings and reviews;
- publish legitimate requests and offers for books you actually have or want;
- communicate with other users about books and arrangements;
- report suspicious or inappropriate behavior through available channels.
5. Prohibited content and behavior
On Bibliato, it is forbidden to publish content or behave in a way that:
- violates the law of the Republic of Serbia or other applicable regulations;
- constitutes harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination;
- infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights;
- contains false, misleading, or harmful information;
- promotes illegal sales, fraud, or spam;
- endangers the security of the platform, users, or third parties.
We reserve the right to remove content, limit features, or suspend an account without prior notice when we determine these terms have been violated.
6. Messages and agreements between users
Messages on the platform are for communication between users. Bibliato does not monitor every message in real time but may respond to abuse reports. Agreements about selling, giving away, or trading books are made directly with another user, at your own risk.
7. Selling, giving away, and trading books
Bibliato does not guarantee quality, condition, availability, delivery, or fulfillment of any agreement between users. We do not charge commissions or mediate payment unless explicitly stated in the future. Users are responsible for verifying book condition, price, pickup method, and all legal obligations arising from a transaction.
8. Intellectual property
The design, brand, software, and core content of the platform belong to Bibliato or our partners and are protected by applicable rights. Users retain rights to content they publish but grant us a limited license to display and distribute that content as part of operating the service.
9. Suspension and account termination
We may temporarily or permanently restrict account access if there is suspicion of violation of these terms, abuse, fraud, or security risk. You can request account deletion through settings or by contacting support. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (e.g. limitation of liability) remain in effect.
10. Limitation of liability
Bibliato provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, data loss, downtime, behavior of other users, or outcomes of agreements made outside the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory regulations.
11. Changes to terms
We may update the terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with the date of the last change. Continued use after publication means acceptance of the changes.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia, unless mandatory regulations provide otherwise. For questions about the terms, write to support@bibliato.com or via the contact form.
